Of the many places that I have been to, Dubai is the most recent one. From my experience of the time spent there (my stay was for four days in Dubai), I will list down some of the must see places in Dubai.
     Dubai is an emirate in the United Arab Emirates federation. The main city of the emirate is also called Dubai. The emirate is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Travelling to Dubai from India is convenient with various direct flights available from all major cities. Below is a monthly average temperatures of Dubai to give you an idea about which month(s) to visit Dubai:

    So,based on the above chart, the ideal time to visit Dubai in between October to April.But, the best time to visit Dubai is in the month of January because kicking off every January is the Dubai Shopping Festival, which is a retail celebration that is a shoppers' paradise and renowned the world-over for its amazing deals and promotions. In addition to the shopping and prizes, hundreds of events and activities await residents and visitors. From international concerts, musicals and shows, to sports, outdoor, and fashion events, Dubai Shopping Festival caters to every age segment. The festival lasts one month.
    Eating in Dubai is never a problem for Indians as restaurants serving Indian Food (both veg and non-veg) are easily available all across Dubai. The local Mediterranean cuisine is a must try. The link below can be a good guide for visitors looking for good places to eat in Dubai:

   I will now list some of the top attractions in Dubai (in no particular order);

Burj Khalifa

Dubai’s architectural marvels couldn’t get better than this. Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world identifies Dubai as the centerpiece of tourist attractions found nowhere in the world. Located in Downtown Dubai, the pyramid-shaped skyscraper is home to the prestigious Armani Hotel and its 900 residences will be occupied by only few of the élite. Even the corporate offices open doors to entrepreneurs known to have a long business history. Some other interesting facts about the Burj Khalifa includes its height at 828 m, The Observation Deck on the level 124 that provides an unobstructed view of the Dubai city and The Park; 11 hectares of living greenery and an entry point to the building.

Burj Al Arab

This is an impressive landmark, a five star hotel (unofficially known as the worlds only seven star hotel) which is built on an artificial island, with a sail-shaped build reaching out at 321m. It is certainly an extraordinary building with superb interior decor, including a Skyview bar with amazing views.

The Dubai Mall

Over 13 million sq foot (equivalent in size to more than 50 football pitches), the Dubai Mall has a total internal floor area of 5.9 million square feet and leasable space of 3.77 million square feet. It also has a 250-room luxury hotel, 22 cinema screens plus 120 restaurants and cafes. The Mall has over 14,000 parking spaces across 3 car parks, with valet services and a car locator ticketing system.

The World Islands

 The World Islands – Dubai is a set of artificial islands created by man to highlight his standard of luxury. The World Islands are unique because such kind of man-made islands can nowhere be found in the world leading to a new rise and expansion in real estate developments. Shaped into different continents and countries, one can develop an individual island into an epitome of personal or corporate luxury.

Jumeirah Mosque

This mosque stands at the northern end of Jemeirah Beach Road. It is one of the most beautiful and fine examples of modern Islamic architecture. The beauty of the mosque, the city's largest, is seen at its very best particularly when floodlit after sundown. The mosque is one of the most visited and photographed sights. Tours are at 10am every Sunday and Thursday mornings.

Jumeira Beach is a white sand beach that is located and named after the Jumeirah district of Dubai. It stretches along the coast south of the city's historic district to the junction with The Palm Jumeirah and terminates between the southern end of the Jumeirah Beach Residence (adjacent to the Dubai Marina district) and the port facilities at Jebel Ali. The beach and its frontage feature large hotels, resorts, and housing developments, including the Burj Al Arab (Arab Tower) hotel, Wild Wadi Water Park, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and the old-style Madinat Jumeirah, a hotel and shopping complex.
